Join us for a 5 day bike trip with 3 full days of awesome trail riding in some of the best bike locations in Croatia for All-mountain/Enduro. You will enjoy all Croatia has to offer – the sun, the sea, the delicious cuisine and the many many rocky/rooty trails for an unforgettable experience.
Zagreb Our trip starts in Zagreb where we will have a stopover for the night so that we don’t have to drive for 9h straight. While there we will have a fully guided and shuttled day in the Medvednica mountain, which features many fantastic trails, which are similar to ours in character, however thanks to the height of above 1000m are far longer with the longest ride down of more than 6km. At about 3pm we will pack up our gear and head out to finish the second leg of our trip to reach Omiš at about 9pm.
Omiš The main destination of our trip is the coastal town of Omiš featuring breathtaking views of both mountains and the sea. Calm waters hidden behind the island of Brač promise a great soaking in the relatively warm Adriatic sea very refreshing before or after a day of riding. The mountain range above Perun is criss-crossed by mountain bike trails, which the local group Coast Riders have been building over many years now. This is a fantastic and very unique place to ride flowy trails riddled with natural obstacles however mostly rock.
You can look forward to fantastic food, great times at the beach after riding and most of all perfect riding on these unique trails.
Here is a short video from Imber trail last year:
Difficulty
We will be riding mostly natural trails that have been upgraded by trail builders to suit the mountain bikers needs. What you can expect though is that Croatia is very rocky and both locations will have them plenty. Zagreb is a stop-over location and features very similar type of trails as here in Slovakia, fast natural flow trails with some manmade obstacles, the trails are not difficult and therefore are a great preparation for the next two days.
Omis is a coastal town nestled underneath a rocky mountain range called Perun, where all the action will happen. The trails in Omis are mostly blue to red in difficulty, fast flowy sections (Croatian-style flow so don’t expect too smooth riding) alternating with natural technical sections like drops from rocks, manmade jumps from rocks, many steep chutes on rocky ledges as well as many berms and off-camber turns. Imber is the most difficult trail in all respects – getting there, many tricky obstacles again mostly featuring rocks as well as narrow sections over rocks.
As always we will be working ourselves up gradually from the easiest trails to the hardest. As part of the booking process we will contact you and check basic riding experience to ensure safety yourself and the whole group. Our goal is to set up a relatively balanced team of riders in order to maintain a healthy riding pace during the entire trip so that everyone is safe and has fun.
